Swap yer for an underpowered but very frugal Astra estate. I'll even pay for the respray.

Is this the car that is the colour of Linda Blair's projectile vomit in The Exorcist?... :)
I'm not sure. Was Linda's disgorgement silky shadow green?  :-\

Away from projectile puke it seems that Vauxhall has no guidelines for changing the coolant.

Reference only to 'topping up.'

How hard can it be? If you own an omega, you simply wait until the HBV lets go. ;D

Expansion tank is a known issue. They crack, its almost impossible to see the leak. Some were changed by Vxl FOC but its not a recall

NeoBros for a replacement (sold for SAAB but does fit as I got mine from them) at about £40 but you need to swap the level sensor over.

Other common problem is the two little pipes that run from the expansion tank to the top of the turbo, they tend to wear and leak at the jubilee fitting, you cant just cut the pipe as they are tapered at the ends. Water drops on turbo heat shield so very difficult to spot

Pipes come as part of the expansion tank kit.

These little pipes are also swapped round for reasons that escape me right now, but apparently its better if they are.

New cap is the other option if you can see any stains on the bulkhead sound deadening

I have documentation that this has been remedied  so hopefully it is not the problem.

I have just ordered these two small pieces of rubber pipe. They both have a nasty bulge and one is starting to split.

Yes, I have heard this also. I believe that one end of the pipe is thicker than the other.

The cap is yellow and shows no signs of staining. I'm guessing that it was replaced with the expansion tank.
