samsung a5
« on: 24 November 2015, 22:50:37 »

I have just got a samsung a5, its surpose to be 4g ready but mine is only showing h+ or h. I have checked on the vodafone websit site and it states that the phone should be on network mode..LTE/WCDMA/GSM. This will give you 4g when in a 4g area. My house sits in a string 4g area but it still only shows h+, the wifes samsung s4 mini always sits on 4g.
Any ideas whats wrong and does it matter.

Is your wife on the same network?

I have an A5 myself at the moment. It's a nice phone. Shouldn't need to change any settings to get 4G as long as your network provider has coverage and your SIM is provisioned for it.

LTE is 4G, by the way, so that selection should work. :y

Have you ever had a 4G signal with your Simcard?  If not, order a replacement from Vodafone.

You could always try your wife's SIM in your phone, assuming it's physically compatible?

What?!! Never heard that before. 4G should be free if available.
