Before i flog it, who's interested?
« on: 15 July 2008, 23:31:54 »

Hey guys,

I'm just about to just to the Audi Quattro ship and need to flog my Omega.  I'm not looking for a buyer this second bt was just keen on how much an LPG'd V6 would fetch these days?

It's a Silver 2002 MV6, 2.6 with 88k, mostly dealer history with the remainder OOF user service!  8-)  Cruise, CC, projector lamps etc, tidy set of facelift Elite wheels too.

Tip top all round really, apart from one slightly noisey lifter, bit of cluch drag in the morning and the odd spec of pin prick rust, although very tidy all round really.

I would flog her on Autotrader but only an OOF user would appreciate it's current owners recent care and love.

Thought on a postage stamp...

Cheers
Marc

you're going to hate me but i doubt you would make 2K even with the LPG kit  :-[

Its the tax that's the killer, everyone will loook at it as an expensive car to tax and so wull shy away from it

shame really as it sounds like a really nice car, your only reprieve would be if the government change their mind on the tax

WOW 2k...  >:( i was thinking of £2200/£2300

To be honest, i know the tax situation is a PITA, but an extra £200 notes wouldn't kill most people, although £200 is better in my pocket! It won't stop me from buying a V6 turbo Audi.  I'm going ti carry on with big engines and convert them to gas while i can.

Also i just spoke to the garage and they offered £800  ;D I told him to f000k 0ff!

i know it's a sickner  >:( overnight the government decimated the value of big engined cars, the writing was already on the wall due to rising fuel prices, but this is the nail in the coffin.

It is just a disgrace what some garages offer. This was a £20000+ premium saloon when new. Keep it is my advice. :-* :-*

Yes - keep it if you don't do too many miles. I decided to keep my V6 and cut down the miles on it but change my wife's car for diesel Signum - this has been a great combination. It will be worth the same now as it was last year and will be in 3 years time.
