Aldi's own bitter. Recommended.
« on: 17 December 2015, 23:26:54 »

I am going to set up a homebrew kit in the New Year, as previously discussed. In the meantime I thought I'd give Aldi's own bitter a go. Bloody lovely it is too. :y

(It's called Shipster's Draught, and it's about 3 quid for a four pack. Ideal for a tight Northerner like me. :y)

Not especially strong, about the same as Tetleys I think.

Don't have an Aldi near me, so I have to put up with the local Lidl, mind you with Bishops Finger, Spitfire, Directors and Hob Goblin all at £1.25 a bottle shouldn't complain. :y

If your going to the effort of brewing your own, is not worth trying quality?

Done wine from stuff from the garden and appreciate the effort involved, so doing a poor tasting brew would put me off doing anymore?
