I am going to set up a homebrew kit in the New Year, as previously discussed. In the meantime I thought I'd give Aldi's own bitter a go. Bloody lovely it is too.

(It's called Shipster's Draught, and it's about 3 quid for a four pack. Ideal for a tight Northerner like me. )

Don't have an Aldi near me, so I have to put up with the local Lidl, mind you with Bishops Finger, Spitfire, Directors and Hob Goblin all at £1.25 a bottle shouldn't complain.

If your going to the effort of brewing your own, is not worth trying quality?

Done wine from stuff from the garden and appreciate the effort involved, so doing a poor tasting brew would put me off doing anymore?
