Going to work this morning the back end felt kinda twitchy, had a quick look at the tyres and didn't notice anything but its still rather dark at 6 am. I get back after work and find some kind person has put a note on the car saying I've got a flat tyre, thank you whoever you are in my state of mind after work I wouldn't have noticed. Right its not totally flat I'll pump it up with the electric pump and run the car straight to my tyre man. Get the pump plugged in, on the tyre, switch on... Nothing, Hmmmm must be the cig lighter plug come out as they do, push it back in and switch on again, instead of inflating the tyre smoke starts to come out of the pump. Right so I'll put the spare on and investigate the pump at home, jack up, tyre off, spare on, lower the jack just finally tighten the bolts and were away. Tighten all the bolts and as I finally tighten the locking bolt the bolt key decides to explode into two pieces the inner bit comes off and looks to have some kind of a spline into the outer tap it back in and see if it still works nope it just spins and doesn't remove the lock bolt. So now a simple puncture repair is gonna cost me £8 then £6 for another wheel bolt set and £11 for a new tyre pump. Not a good first day back at work.
