So finally remembered this. In first line there is first 084 then six empty places and the No. 1 in the last place.

Next line first five empty places then No. 24060

What do this digits tell to me?

Car is from 2001 with Y26SE

My program version (1) seems perhaps "old" if I understood it right. Is there any newer available and what is the difference??

Finally got round to plugging the original instruments in to see what the code was in the MID

Before swapping them I went for a drive and the replacement MID was showing instantaneous fuel consumption as between 7.1 & 8.5 mpg. Idling with a hot engine was showing 5.9 gal/h.

I then swapped them and went for a drive. Speedo & tacho worked perfectly, MID was blank - bugger. Went home, turned off the engine and the speedo did a 'dying swan' spasm as the engine stopped.

Pulled the instruments again, re-attached the MID plug (I hadn't pushed it far enough before engaging the locking lever) and tried again. MID now works but tacho dead & speedo fluttering.  :( ran out of time as 2 year old apprentice wanted her tea  ::)
