Air con pipework
« on: 21 March 2017, 15:21:53 »

Has anyone got a diagram of the aircon pipework for a 3.2 please. My local stealer claims it can't find the part number of a pipe as it is unavailable ???

Further to the above, if I can get a diagram of the pipework, I can get the mechanic to identify the one that is leaking, and from thence, hopefully, someone (RobG ::)) will be able to identify the part number. :y

EPG has pictures of various bits of the pipework, but not all on one screen, could you describe which pipe you are on about and I'll try and narrow it down ...

eg .. my leaking pipe is the one from the filter/drier to the compressor :) so it appears on a specific page .

Unfortunately Nige, I have not seen the pipe, as the mechanic identified it from underneath on the ramp with the tray off. He did say it was under the chassis. Briefly, Marlborough VX say the identified pipe is unavailable, and they know this because when they click on the pipe on their diagram, no number comes up, therefore it is unavailable!
However, a friend in stores at Swindon tells me that is rubbish, and even for unavailable parts, the number still comes up. Go figure.
Also, Marlborough will not give me a picture of the pipe, computer says no, so I am taking the car in to Swindon, where my mate will sort the part number. However, I need to show the diagram to the mechanic in Marlborough, who can identify the pipe before I take it in. :y

From memory from when I changed the compressor, the ONLY pipes down there are the two pipes from the compressor, one goes up to the filter/dryer, the other is, I think, the return from the evaporator.

This is the relevant page from the EPC, best as I can tell ......

I've shown this to the mechanic, but the leaking pipe is not on this diagram. Do you have any others Nige? :y

Note of caution, plumbing varies from engine to engine...

Thanks Al, Nige has the same 3.2. :y
But no guarantee that the picture presented applies to the later v6 ;)

Or indeed accurately represents the finished product ;)

I know Nige has had issues with his AC, so I hope that this digram is for his 3.2. :y

Apologies for the length of the following, but 3 diagrams SPECIFIC to the 3.2, with the parts description following, descriptions take more than one image to display ... ..

If its not in those then I'm stumped ..  :)
