Hi all,
My friend has a 206 1.4 glx 2000 model and it has been fine, until just now it started revving its self to about 3k rev's when there is no load on the engine. When the clutch is up it drives (almost) normally, but when stationary at lights etc its at or around 3k. Just before it did this we was sitting at a set of lights and it was revving to aprox 1.5k then back to idle, by itself, as if some one was pushing there foot on the throttle then taking it off very quickly (ya know like the chavvs do etc) had a look at the throttle cable to see if it was sticking but it was fine. Turned it off then started it again and it goes right to 3000rpm. Its almost if the idle has been set to 3000. How to solve this problem please
