Just wondering, is there likely to be a decent demand on games consoles again in the run up to xmas?
I bought a 60gb PS3 last october and for those that dont know, the 60gb versions were the ones with USB slots and all the bells and whistles, and also reverse compatibility meaning i could play my ps2 games that i deliberately kept when i sold my ps2
although i rarely used it, to my devastation a couple of weeks ago, the ps3 went faulty, but in my favour, its done it within the warranty period, so i trot to HMV with it yesterday and they tell me (which i was kind of aware of already) that there were endless faults with the 60gb versions which is why they'd discontinued them a while ago in favour of the 40gb, then subsequently a newer 40gb cos the first sort also had faults, and then more recently the 80gb version which has so far proved to them to be a better quality one
i was a bit unimpressed (no ones fault) that i couldnt get another 60gb one in replacement for mine, with reverse capability so they've given me a brand new 80gb one which doesnt have the reverse capability so i have a few useless ps2 games!!
do i stick this new ps3 up on ebay now (sealed and brand new) or do i hang on for a month or so and see if demand towards xmas pushes the price up??
