Dave Cousins, lead singer of The Strawbs 85.
They were a really big band in the early to mid 70,s.
Maybe best known though for their tongue in cheek chart hit, Part of the Union.

He took the record from joe Kittinger, set in 1960......a record that lasted 52 years.

I could be wrong, but without checking I think Joe is still alive. :y
