You know I work next to a scrapyard/metal reprocessing plant. I've just seen a Porsche 928 bodyshell go in for scrapping !. :o :o

There used to be a scrapyard nearish to me that a mate took me to.  Was arround the start of the 80's and they had a compond where the exotic stuff had been written off.  At the time I can remeber 2 Rollers, a Ferrari Dino, Countach and 2 or 3 911's in it.

Then he took me round to his mates who owned a garage, thier tow truck was the usual transit with the the hook but it had massive side bore exhausts.

When I asked what engine it had in they all just sat rounf smirking like Chesire Cats with massive grins.

My mate showed me the lump they had fitted and they started it up for me, couple of blips and then left it to rumble for a minute.

They finally admitted it was an Aston Martin V8.  Was bloody awsome.

here the scrapyards learn the job..their prices become more than the half of original >:(

now some of their owners can buy even a brand new porche  :o

I remember my brother fitting those to a Mk1 1100cc Escort estate, that he had painted black with spray cans ::) was the bees knees at the time. :-[
