300 mile shakedown this weekend
« on: 10 October 2008, 23:39:43 »

After changing the cambelt,(complete kit) and the water pump & cleaning eveyting on the breather side, I will be driving from Brum to Brean for a couple of days away.

Birmingham - Nuneaton - Brean - tatabout town - Birmingham, should be about 300 miles

Well done. How many bolts did you have left over? I normally manage a couple after a job like that!  ;) ;D ;D ;D

Enjoy the trip.  :y

Got bolts all over the place, from 3 cars  :o

Got back today 330 miles all told. No problems

Now have to get used to driving an auto again, less effective engine braking so have to leave more space to the car in front or else I get fed up of dabbing the brakes to slow down.

The 2.0 ltr is slower than the MV6 by some way, but that may be no bad thing  ::) ::)
