first bit of diy mechanicing
« on: 25 October 2008, 15:52:29 »

Did my first bit diy mechanicing yesterday, filled the screen wash and changed a blown brake light, everything went smooth with no problems and no left over bits.Flushed with the success of that thought tomorrow i'd drop the gearbox for an overhaul, change the cam belt and do an LPG conversion, should be straightforward now i'm no car mechanic virgin. :y

I am very torn about LPG at the moment. Yes, I could get a kit very cheap, yes I can install myself, but with petrol under £4.40 a gallon and mpg at around 33+, it's a toss up at the moment  :-/
