Any town ive ever been in has had approx. 90% good decent people, sometimes with 10% rsouls in the mix causing trouble. ;)

The auction is no longer available...

No doubt the owners got in there with a good "how much to end it now" type offer.  ;D ;D ;D

Hope the crew come out of it okay.  By which I mean alive.

This is not uncommon, the only rare thing is the size of the vessel.

If no-one pays up the usual way to end it is to kill the crew and sink the ship.

Incidentally 2 major shipping lines say that the Gulf of Aden is too dangerous, so they are not using the suez canal, thereby sending all east west traffic around the Cape.  Extra time, fuel, money.  Carbon footprint?  If the Govt gave a damn about the environment they would get this sorted out rather than hassling motorists.

Rant over.

p.s. I am a serving Chief Officer in the Merchant Navy, so slightly biased. ;)

This is one of those occasions where the news item should be;

The SAS have returned control of the tanker to the shipping company, NONE of the pirates survived the incident  :y
