Going to get aligned on Tuesday, hope to see TB on the way home if he is in (and replies) - he has a radiator for me.

Something I must do very soon, just a bit of a trek to get there. Its worth it though according to people who have used them.

It depends.

I did nearly a 300 miles round trip to WIM in a V6, to be told the only adjustment I needed was toe (tracking) - yet the charge (£85) for full geometry still applied - whereas tracking adjustment only would have been around £25 at a local centre.

I guess I was just very unlucky. If you need a few adjustments, it's worth it :y

Bertie and Dad, try calling Chemix in Halesowen. They have the same machine as WIM and a couple of the guys are properly trained to use it too :y

But do they understand Omega geometry settings?  The factory specified settings are 'dangle berries'.

I enquired about having my tracking done at my local tyre fitters.
They said because the Omega needs special settings it would cost me more than your average tracking charge, I tended to believe them as I know what WIM charge, so whether they do a proper job remains to be seen, not tried yet.

I needed a full geometery set up as I was starting to destroy the inside edges of my front tyres.Went along to my usual tyre place and they said tracking was spot on and they said "no charge"as no work done. They advised me to go to main dealer as they were only people with correct set up equipment. ??
When I went through yellow pages found a place in Ashford, kent who have the full computer setup. They did a full set of readings before/advised what neede to be done and costs(£82=00 +vat)and then did a full print out after adjustments..they also said VX settings were unreliable and seemed to confirm what we all knew.
So far very satisfied with results and a lot closer that North of London...might be worth putting their details on map for us Southeners.

I must have managed to change Tony's mind a little then... I had to fill both :o :o :o

That said, with petrol so cheap at the moment I'm planning on keeping it fairly full :y :y
