I had a miss-hap when welding my MX5 a few months ago which resulted in a sligtly melted door card so when I saw some Alcantara on Ebay I thought I would buy some and have a go at re trimming my door cards. The Alcantara is the stuff used in the MG ZT and has a 5mm backing which has padded the card out and I think it looks so much better that the original.

Ive got enough left over so might do the centre console

I was quite impressed with the job but the wife went ballistic because the first staples I used were to long and there are loads of little holes in the wooden worktops, just as well the kitchen is soon to be replaced

its VERY nice stuff the alacantara, my bro has it in his IS200 and my mate had it in his IS that he sold yesterday
