Trade Club availability?
« on: 17 January 2009, 21:23:36 »

Can anyone please advise me if there is a Trade Club still active that allows discount at VX dealerships? And how one joins, as I will be needing quite a lot of stuff in the future :y

Unless your 'in the trade' then the easiest wat to get a TC card is join ABS, £20/yr i think......you get sent an ABS TC card which is accepted at most vx dealers  :y

ABS are very quick in sending you your Trade Card, your cheque could not have cleared before you get everything.
There is also a website, someone will have it so you can check if your local Vx will accept it... but if you do have trouble think ABS give you a number to phone :y

Can anybody tell me what amount of discount you get with a trade card, I assume it's variable but a ball park indicatiion would be appreciated  :y :y

A few clubs do it for £15 a year, but ABS is more Omega centric, plus they bother to get the packs out promptly, hence why I would recommend them

Agreed  :y as for cost you'll get your £20 subs back on what you save on your  first purchase of a case of oil  :)

It varies I think.

But a V6 waterpump is £40 + vat retail and £23 +vat trade club.  So if you were doing a cambelt, auxillary belt and water pump job along with oil and filter chance the saving add up.  But basically the card cost is paid for by the saving on the water pump alone.
