Sky, DVD and gayStation all go HDMI to back of telly (assuming you have enough HDMI ports on telly.

Amp will vary, you need to check its destructions to see what its capabilities are

Unless you're going to be using the amp to switch between items like I do as it's also a 5.1 surround sound decoder ::) ::) ::)

Depends if the amp also switches the video (without degrading - my Sony amp can switch video, but insists on it being composite, hence shite)

Cheers ALL
The connections are as follows

T.V.
1 x CAM slot
1 x S VHS/Hi8/DVC Camcorder
1 x Headphones Socket
1 x P.C. Socket
2 x HDMI in
1 x Audio output R/L
2 x Scart sockets (1 x with smartlink)
1 x Component Video OUT

PS3
1 x AV Multi Out
1 x HDMI Out
1 x Digital Out optical

SKY+ Box
1 x TV Scart
1 x VCR Scart
1 x Digital Out optical

HDD DVD REC
1 x Analog Aerial IN/OUT
1 x Digital Aerial IN/OUT
1 x Line 2 OUT (R-Audio-L/Video) Jacks
1 x Component Video OUT
1 x G Link Jack
1 x Line 2 OutS Video Jack
1 x Line 1 Decoder Scart
1 x Line 3 - TV Scart
1 x Digital Out coax
1 x HDMI Out

AMP
I am not to bothered about this as i can understand the setup as it is very clearly marked and looks quite simple

ALL the equipment is SONY and i am wanting to set it all up so i can use the PS3 as a bluray player and/or use the HDD DVD as a normal player plus be able to record either TO the Sky+ Box or TO the DVD plus Copy from SKY to DVD
Everything has been set up for over a year apart apart from the DVD REC which is New
So its just a matter of adding the DVD which i tried with the HDMI from DVD to TV but get NO Picture
THANKS IN ADVANCE ALL

P.S. Sent that bird round she can have a look for me anytime lol

PS3 HDMI to TV and TOSLink digital optical to amplier - use for games, Bluray and DVD

Sky+ if not HD use Scart

DVD / HDD recorder - try Component and HDMI and see which is best. If more than one digital audio in on decoder use as well

Recording - PS3 forget it

Either sky scart 2 to scart in on the DVD HDD. sky recording boxes are like normal PVRs and only record off their dishes (bit stream recording)

Aghhh

I know about that I know about streaming - but you can't record on the DVD recorder from the PS3 hence my reply - but cheaper to buy a PVR.

Anyway not a bad one to set up - shouldn't take to long
