Had to do a 20 mile round trip a couple of hours ago,it was sunny but a bit chilly so I decided to get well kitted out and take the bike ::)
when I got to where I was going it began to snow like break,so I had to do the return journey in the snow, fingers felt like they had frostbite by the time I got back. Not one of my brighter ideas :-[ :-[ mrs laughed like opps. ::)

Getting loads of heavy flurries here... Started laying on the main roads too :o :o :o

My road, being private, has got about half an inch already and it's settled on top of last nights frost and ice... Very slippery!!! Trust me, just had a very low speed (under 5mph) slide at the end of the road :o :o :o

Mrs LD doesn't like driving in weather like this and we're forecast as much as 8" overnight, with drifting due to open land and high winds... Think I'll be getting a nudge in the morning to take her to work ::) ::)

i would turn over and go back to sleep
if its 2 thick of snow out side ill be staying at home

Unfortunately, because of what she does, she wont just take a day off as she's worried about letting the patients down. ::) ::)

Forecast this morning said nothing major tonight but persistant snow Monday evening. That could have changed by now. Time will tell!

Chaos already down here in Kent....M20 between Ashford and Maidstone is closed due to severe snow and drifting so looks like Monday is going to be fun and games...think a day in doors by the tv is called for then ??

Just watched the late news and weather.

Heard the North from Durham upwards, and the South East mentioned.

Snow coming over from Scandanavia and they have warned of snow drifts.

Monday to Wednesday was mentioned on the charts.  It may of course come to nothing.

Just be prepared, make sure your tyres are in good nick and make sure you have plenty of fuel in the car just in case.

Local news has just covered the weather and just said blizzrds on high ground.

Make thier minds up.

Either way, allways better to be prepared.   :y :y

All a bunch of nancy boys these days.........when I was a lad it snowed constantly from January till December......we did'nt complain.......and we had to go to school without shoes and socks on. ;D ;D ;D ;D :y

Wellies and shorts, and you got a red mark tound your leg where wellies 'slapped' your legs as you walked. ::) ::) ::)
