Potential Fuel Contamination
« on: 08 February 2009, 17:23:07 »

I went into my local Morrisons supermarket on Saturday and decided to put £20 of petrol in the old V6..

Less than a mile from the garage i noticed it didnt want to tick over, kept stalling at the lights.. Got home and irregular revs and the smell of rotten eggs..

Telephoned the garage as soon as i got home as i am convinced its thier petrol, In fact i emailed trading standards too..

When i started it today all was ok until it warmed up, Same problem, stalling and losing power.

I shall see what trading standards have to say when they email me back tomorrow and let you all know if there are other reports in our area of the same problem...

Good old Morrisons..I now hate them as much as Tesco's... :(

As a matter of interest its 2 years at the end of this month (I think, if not its 3 years ago) that there was all the trouble with fuel and cars were braking down all over the place.  They found out it is was due to silcone contamination.

Did anyone on the OOF suffer from it.
