Cheers all,  so I presume from the sizes you have Mark, that pixelation is not an issue on the bigger sizes, or are you running a proper HD source through it?

I run

Up-scaled DVD
Wii
Freeview

Pixelation is not an issue, its more down to the source!

Thanks for that, Mark. Richer Sounds looks great.
I tried to knock down both Curry's and Comet yesterday but they wouldn't budge an inch.  :'(

On my Samsung, I found my old bog standard (non upscaling) DVD player to be OK, but not brilliant.  This was connected via SCART, which is why I watch DVDs through MCE now (it is probably best upscaler you can get).

I guess as the source is SD, and the player can't upscale, its never going to be superb. Unless its the SCART connection that is limited?

Saying all that, I'm very happy with the Samsung (have the same one as Mr DTM) - with the one fault I can pick with it is there is no 'quick' button to select PC input...

Guess who hasn't read the manual ::)

What does that do? Sounds like one of those gay manufacturer specific tradenames for something ;D

Well it work with my Panasonic DVD recorder.....

It allows you to select the source (easier) and it will then switch to it and allow limited remote capability to.

Other than Please read the manual, what do I do, just press the AnyNet button and see what happens?

Not holding out much hope - the only device plugged into my tv is the media center on PC input (for no sound - ie sound through seperate amp) and same media center on HDMI2 (with sound, for normal recorded TV playback)

I've got a 37 inch sharp aquos from direct tv's i would highly recommend it. Sat next to the samsung it looked much better in the shop! They are quite cheap as well!

What he says got mine from comet before xmas with a Free Aquos Blu-Ray for 500notes

Very pleased.
Panasonic are the ones to go for if you can afford them.........................

Might be worth a look
