BTW- does anyone have a TomTom SpeedCameras POI?

Yep... Although a very old database now. It's very useful, as a warning, but not perfect!

TBH I rarely speed now, and never knowingly/intentionally in built up areas!

Much as I hate the camera I do think that the vandalism is just adding to our taxes >:( >:(

My view is that the wrong thing is being attacked.

If people vented their feelings to the rule-makers about ridiculous speed limits/road markings a lot of the problem would go away.

The number of local roads where I can no longer overtake on my bike (550BHP/Ton) due to double-white lines, is amazing.  Whole lengths of country lane where Mr Darby & Mrs Joan need to be told it's not safe to overtake in their back-firing Micra!

Sorry.  Was this a 'general rant' thread? :D

A bloke was taken to court last week for speeding ,the hand held device had registered him at 173mph in his Lotus Elise in a 60 limit,he provided the court with evidence that it wasnt capable of anything remotely like that speed, but then admitted to doing something like 95mph,so they stung him pretty hard anyway.Although if he had been convicted of the original speed he was going inside.
