I had a 97 R Reg elite and upgraded to a W Reg elite. I like the facelift better, but theres not a great deal in it to be honest. I would say the seats in my 97 were more comfy, but i like the dash better in the new 1. :y

as long as there is nothing wrong with yours keep it for now and change it when a few things have gone wrong as they will come thick as fast when they do at the milage of yours

ive often thought of upgrading but i prefer the prefacelift

better cabin build quality and problably better build quality in general

the prefacelifts interior feels well built and durable

although the facelift doesnt rust asmuch and looks slightly better on the outside

I had pre face lift cdx, I changed it because high mileage for a face lift CD, nothing but trouble. Then bought another car this time elite pre face lift, another bag of trouble. Then I bought a low mileage facelift elite, I took the time to inspect the details ( interior door handles, centre console below handbrake etc) found all were immaculate, full service history, mint outside. I am now a happy bunny 18 months later with still only 5300 2001. The moral of this is you will get used to the changes, I never thought I would, look very carefully for any signs of abuse, buy low mileage and do what I did and be prepared to spend 6 months looking at 25+ cars. It is worth it if you decide to change. Hope this helps  :)
