Just avoid Potterton like the plague (think part of Baxi now anyway). Many housebuilders use them.

Fortunately, I'm fairly handy with a soldering iron, so have been able to keep patching up the control board.  Also had to replace gas valve before, but guess that could happen to any make, as I suspect they are a standardish part?

I have fitted afair few boilers over the 5 years i have been plumbing,and found the worcester boilers are the best.They are small,quiet and very powerful.Beware of the cheap boilers from b&q,as they dont last 5 minutes.
