£2100 repair bill
« on: 22 April 2009, 21:18:48 »

My eldest son is currently on work experience at the good Vauxhall dealer round our way. He has just told us someone was paying there bill for work on an Omega and it was an amazing £2100.00 I was staggered, I have asked him to find out exactly what repairs where done to it tomorrow.

I told him you could probably get a new engine in a V6 for that much, but economically speaking it is not worth it.

At VX prices this would not get you a new engine. When either the dealer or a faulty part wrecked my engine last year it allegedly cost about £3000 to VX and would have been nearer £4000 if I had had to pay.
