You want 55 not 65 - might foul the wheel arches with 65

I agree - I've got 225/55/16's on mine, and there's next to no clearance from the top of the tyre and the bottom of the spring on the front strut...

TBH I'd just have new ones... I don't like 2nd hand tyres unless I know their history ::) ::)

A few issues

1) There Michelins...

2) There not original fit so insurnace issues

3) There second hand....so not worth more than 40 quid each fitted.

Also it will possibly screw your speedo ( i dont know which wheels drive the speedo on a mig)
Also on my rover turbo i put slightly smaller front tyres on just so i could transport 2 wheels to leicster( long story) and it screwed my abs all the way there.
heres a link to a calculator of tyre sizes http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresiz2.html

Hope this helps

I'd stick to a tyre that gives you the proper rolling radius if I were you, for a couple of points...

- May affect your handing (different size tyres on different axles
- May knock your speedo accuracy out if the bigger tyres to to be fitted to the rear wheels
- Could foul the arches/suspension components with any kind of a load in your Miggy.

Too many question-marks if you ask me, but that's just my opinion...

EDIT: - must type quicker!!  ;D

Lol, I think the point is that second hand tyres are second hand for a reason....

I'd phone around a couple more tyre places if I were you, and find one that has the exact size tyre you need - not worth taking the gamble  :y

I have just purchased four wanli 225/55 x16 tyres for my miggy.
£200 including fitting.I have found them excellent.
No need to buy part worn tyres in my view. :-* :-* :-*

There are many issues with using incorrect size as stated above in detail..

As for the second hand tires: They must have minimum 5 mm average tread depth which will let you 2 mm of useable life.. And must have production dates not more than 4 years (even 4 years is too old imho)
