how many accidents......
« on: 06 May 2009, 17:09:11 »

......does someone need to have before an insurance company tell ya to p155 off?  my (idiot) neighbour has had her sixth since passing her test 2.5 years ago !!
the latest was after a road rage arguement in which she gobbed off at someone who took offence and tried to drag her out of the car to re-educate her, she sped off and caught their opened door right down the whole side of hers !!!! oh we did llllaaaarrrrffffffff........
karma is REALLY kicking in with her, she is a totally fowl 22year old who is a spoilt child with no clue in life and thinks another kid will get her a good sized council house- she can't even handle the two she's got... >:( >:( >:(

From what i gather they normally just load up the policy premium to a level where you take your business elsewhwere, so they`re not seen as `refusing` to cover you. :y

Is there any "human rights" law that says you cannot be refused cover?

As for what SM has said, 6 accidents in 2½ years is outrageous and maybe it's about time she was refused cover....because with that on her record, she will know all about it (both financially and in trying to get cover in future).

some companys will in the end see her as a high risk driver and refuse to cover her

but most of the time she will just pay out for higher insurance
that's if she has even got insurance

Dont think its human rights, more a case of if they get the business for high premiums - great, but if they dont, theres little chance of bad publicity through refusal. Any insurance firm has the right to refuse cover for any given legitimate reason.  :y

More than likely, and it will be you & I that end up paying for it in the long run.
