Electric cigarettes

Has anybody tried and successfully stopped smoking using an electric cigarette?
I am 8.5 hours into using mine and finding it very helpful. I have smoked for 24 years and never tried stopping before. The electric cigarette gives the satisfaction of actually blowing something out that is very realistic.
I really think I might stop  :y

hi phate - where did you buy it? haven't seen any - 'cept on the news a while ago - i'll try anything once to give up the old cancer sticks - no will power - thats my problem  :y

having said that - i heard if you give up smoking, give up drink, give up junk food, then you dont actually live longer - it just seems that way  ;D ;D

I got mine from someone that got it as a fad. I was going to get it from ebay but saved some money this way. It is so realistic and the cartridges have differing strengths which you can step down at your own pace. Or you can just use this instead of the fags and save a fortune, depends on your motives for stopping.
I did hear today that ebay are banning the sale of them at the end of the month :(  Not sure of the reasons or if it is confirmed.

i might try them - i guess you could smoke them at work too? save me nipping out for a fly one in the persistent rain  :y :y

You can "use" them anywhere as you only blow out a water vapour. It is odourless and not harmful to passives.
You can get them with a green light as opposed to a red to stop awkward questions  :y

SWMBO and I both have one... We use it to supplement the real thing at the moment as neither of us actually want to give up... But it's there when we do want to :y :y :y
