we had to wear clip on ties in my secondary school due to when there was a fight the first thing someone grabbed was the tie

the worst part was when they got pulled that tight you ended up choking and had to get them cut off

A somewhat intoxicated mate once had a disagreement with a bus driverm and tried to grab him by the tie.
He ended up flat on his back on the pavement, still clutching the drivers tie.  ;D

He's convinced he could still hear the drivers laughter as the bus disappeared out of sight.

the school where my kids go to dont even have a tie as part of the uniform  :(

I think its a shame, never did me any harm to wear one ( and a blazer too!), i didnt go to a posh school either, just my local secondary school.

Clip on ties???? Whats wrong with wearing those T-shirts that have a Tie and shirt printed on em??? ::) ::) ::)
