Do you think the deal will still give the same warranties, free servicing, free insurance, etc as now?

What can you do on e-bay that you cannot face to face with a dealer and a pocket full of cash?

Not sure about this move.  Will it mean the erradication of even more dealerships (after sales service) than we've seen to date?

Agreed Ms Zoom, in my view it brings the faceless society one step closer.

A lot of people now lack the basic skills in how to interact with others and moves like this - should it ever become the norm -  won't help them to develop such skills.

In general, I consider it to be a retrograde step. :( :(

But GM have said that 225 of 250 dealerships have sigbed up with the idea, surely the ones that are at risk are the ones not taking part.

lets face it, if dealers were not so greedy and then overcharge of service and repairs then surely this would mean more new cars sold every year and older ones scrapped, plus it would keep the output of new cars up with 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation suppliers happy as well.  they all bonus, then so do transport, shipping and other services.
