In Samoa, they've switched from driving on the right side of the road to driving on the left, at the sound of sirens, as seen in this link :-

There was once discussion about whether Britain should do this, to bring it into line with the rest of Europe/the World, but quickly dismissed.  ;D ;D

There's enough driver's that can't drive on the left without moving to the other side :o ::) ::) ::)

Driving on the other side is not to bad, just have to remember when you get back what side to drive on [smiley=evil.gif] [smiley=evil.gif]

What is worse as I moved back here I had a Opel A  omega,  right hooker, and as I worked in a transport firm I had to lock the passenger door of the truck as I kept getting in the wrong side. :-/

i went round a roundabout the wrong way in calais a few yrs ago, i ended up on the grass behind a bustop. unfortunatly i never hit any frogs  ;D ;D

I saw a red Escort van pulled over by the cops on the A12 near Witham on Sunday evening,the van was facing the wrong way down the carriageway. :o

Fantastic. It could be a way to kickstart the UK economy . All those sirens and siren operators. People to simultaneously move roadsigns around. It would cure unemployment at a stroke. Lots of other feelgood stuff as well like instead of trekking down the M1 and getting off at Jct21 it would become Jct48!

The downside would be loss of tax revenue from a 3 day alcohol sales ban!
