Ah, now you see, that's where we have a basic difference, BJ. Although I have been in the past an habitual Tory voter, that has been on the basis of the policies laid out before me at each election. Were Labour to propose leaving the EU, equipping our Armed Forces correctly, reducing taxation, then I would be happy to vote for them. To say you would never vote for a party is to have a closed mind, in my book. Mind you, that's the mindset which creates "safe" seats. Look at some of the safe Labour seats in the North East. I think that even if GB raised slapped a 100% on the air that we breathe (or chip-butties  ), they'd still vote Labour up there.

Likewise I tend to vote on what s put before me at each election ---- waste of effort though, considering they are all lying barstewards 

Said before, and I will say it again ..... election promises should be enshrined in a contract twixt party and electorate ---- and kept to on pain of legal retribution.
