Just heard the first ones going off. But sounds more like a display rather than kids acting arround.

Heard them round here for the past week now. Some at like 4 in the afternoon but they've been quite far away from where we live.

What gets me is you can pay a fiver and get into a big diplay and see some cracking ones.

Pay like £60 in tesco you get ones that do a pathetic 'weeeee - pop', seems a bit of a waste?

(waits for AndyB's comment on youth spending)

Also with compact estates quite dangerous to launch big ones.

It gets worse for a week or so after as shops have un-sold stock to clear and almost give the darned things away.
What gets my goat are the 2hats that come home from a Saturday night out and decide to have a firework party...at gone 2am.

Home fireworks are a nightmare for the elderly, pets, shift workers, parents with babies and toddlers.

Don't get me wrong, no problem with official displays. Just these pathetic muppets with their home jobbies.

We always have a party on the nearest Saturday to November 5th and have family/friends round and lots of fireworks, bbq etc. but I do think that they should only be allowed on 5th Nov. or the nearest weekend to it as it is not fair for others if they are going off every night for weeks and weeks.

I have had them going off the last couple of weeks, won't bother buying any because I live on top of a hill looking over Swansea and get to see everyone else's money going up in smoke  ;D :y
