According to the Human bloody Rights Act, they must conduct random searches of 80 year old pensioners, little children, airline pilots with proper identification, Agents and Police employed to prevent terrorism and the elderly and the infirm with metal hip joints etc.

Debs, abusing anyone as you were is totally unacceptable, but what really gets me is that you can do nothing about being verbally abused.
If the tables were reversed, and a group of white youths abused a muslim then they would be arrested, and be up for 'Inciting Racial Hatred' or some other racist charge.

I'm very disappointed to read this D and would agree that it's symptomatic of the mindlessness of many people, some of whom  seem to follow the 'teachings' of those with a sinister agenda with a fervour that belies their apparent indifference to any form of constructive activity or thought.

This isn't entirely a phenomenon of recent times.  Some years ago I was doing a 'job' in a city of a not too distant land that required the detention of the son a professional person. The parent was well educated and had travelled the world in their professional capacity.

I issued instructions to have the son detained (PTA) whereupon the parent rounded on me, spat onto my face and called be a "fu*king filthy British bastard" and that I should” fu*k off back to where I belong" as I had "murdered enough of us".

I wasn't too put out by this as I've been on the receiving end of many projectiles - some more unwelcome than others - but I really was effected by the venom with which the tirade was delivered.  This person - who should have known better due to their professional position and the fact that their son was a known terrorist (subsequently convicted) - was reduced to a mindless rant based upon tribal propaganda nurtured and handed down through the years:  this, to my mind, had obviously clouded their ability to reason with any degree of common sense.

So although the sentiments expressed during such encounters may well change with time, the raw unpleasantness of these utterances - mostly based on the warped perceptions of the people who deliver such nonsense – will always continue to sting those of us who know there to be no foundation in truth to the insults given.

So, to ensure that the US and the UK never 'offend' anyone, particularly religious fanatics intent on killing everyone they don't agree with, airport security screeners will not be allowed to Profile certain people who might obviously fit the Profile.

According to the Human bloody Rights Act, they must conduct random searches of 80 year old pensioners, little children, airline pilots with proper identification, Agents and Police employed to prevent terrorism and the elderly and the infirm with metal hip joints etc.

I believe that everyone flying EU country to Spain has to be advised to the Spanish authorities by the airline as part of the Schengen (?)agreement. If Spain makes all the airlines do it then perhaps Britain could as well. 

On a more general note it maybe that terrorism isn't so high on other EU countries agendas as it is for Britain. But then the other countries haven't been so aggressive towards Muslim countries as Britain has over the years.
