Profit on the beemer?
« on: 27 February 2010, 13:40:21 »

Just sorted my insurance for another year, £100 less, and added pillion & commuting which it did not have before  :D

Was asked if it was still worth £6.2k, checking auto trader their values have gone up!

Used to be plenty of examples sub £6k, even some at £5k, but hardly any now.

I paid £6.1k for my 56 plate 1200GS from a BMW dealer, which came with outstanding warranty, just been serviced and 2 brand new tyres. Loads of the examples on AT are older, have no panniers, and going for £1k more!

I knew UK second hand bike sales were holding their value, as companies in europe are buying them as they are much cheaper, and shipping them over and changing the dash to km/h

But at this rate, i am making a profit on it, and its proving better than a savings account  :o  ;D
