Please download the attachment and read and complete the form to restore access

to your account.

PayPal protects its community and sometimes we verify information that we belive does
not match credit card billing address or another IP has been used to login into your
paypal account.

Got the above email today.....does anyone actually fall for this rubbish!  ;D

Two big points to note about this email....
PayPal will always address you by name if they email you.
PayPal can spell  ;)

Oh and what i havent shown is the email came from accounts@paypall.com .....  ::)

If they send out 10m msgs, and 0.01% of people are stupid (and in the current UK, that figure is surely much nearer 50%), thats still 1000 compromised Paypal accounts ;)

Forward it to spoof@paypal.com. I used to get dozens of these when I used fleeceBay.

My account was compromised without my help, and it was PayPal that contacted me to contact them so they could tell me someone in Thailand had tried to use my eBay/PayPal accounts  ;).

Nope, i havent bothered.....
As last week i reported to ebay an item for sale...that was fairly obvious stolen goods....got the response from ebay to report it to the police.....they didnt even suspend the auction!  >:(

Nope, i havent bothered.....
As last week i reported to ebay an item for sale...that was fairly obvious stolen goods....got the response from ebay to report it to the police.....they didnt even suspend the auction!  >:(

I have had a few similar ones, forwarded it on to paypal, still keep getting bank ones, from banks I do not have an account with.......... ::) ::) ::)

No they won't. It loses them auction fees and that's all they care about. I also had similar problems with PooPal that's why I shut my account down and stopped selling on fleeceBay. They just don't care about their customers anymore as long as they get their (extortionate) fees.  >:(
