replica of a sh!t box more like, shame, Calton in standard format is nice looking car.
my pappy used to work breakdown recovery and he once told me(get a carlton i never get called out to them) :y

Can believe it, in his fleet car days father T had a Carlton which did 135k in 3 years, never missed a beat!
Maybe because they never had a V6 in them. ;) ;D

I much preferred working on the Senator S6, no crappy cam covers!

"here we have another of my Lotus Carlton replicas"

Another?? does he turn them out regularly???

Has he never actually seen one???

obviously lives in cloud cuckoo land if any of these cars are "replicas"

That's a stupid thing to say mate - you seen the green one of his?
What do you need to fit to class what you would call an Elsie "replica"?

I think most people class a rep of a car as summat that just looks like or similar to the original.

He couldn't really try harder with his green one - try getting Elsie front wheels, engines, gearboxes - and that's before you look at disc brakes, calliper repair kits, brake pads and standard service items etc.

Ever had a go yourself?

I think he put to much effort in to that one as no effort has been made on the one for sale :D

No, didn't see the green one, only the one in the advert that was red. My opinion was only if ALL his efforts at replicas were as that one, he was only convincing himself they were "replicas".
do appreciate there are SOME good replicas, didn't someone say "imitation was the sincerest form of flattery"??

i have owned this car for nine yrs.and spent a lot of time getting it to how it looks now.in 2007 the engine and gearbox were removed and completly overhauled.also the lotus body kit was added along with 17inch oz racing wheels.the car was resprayed in ferrari rosso red with viper stripes.the car has been superchipped, and the suspension uprated.any questions please ring pete on *******

No mention of the superchip or the 2560bhp in the current add.

[edit]Neglects to mention the 177K mileage or engine rebuild either[/edit]
