i am 25, finished Uni couple of years ago. First year of uni was rubbish, having food nicked by the drunks in the group kitchen. That soon stopped after i spiked a pizza with laxative!

Was better as soon as got own rented house with other uni mates, much more relaxed, much more home like.

Best bit of advice i can give (if you stay in uni) is make sure your final year project is the best you can do, people who did decent final year projects got the jobs, poor ones did not. I made a mobile phone application for theme parks, got me noticed a little mobile phone entertainment company after uni, got the job.

Moved on after it was bought out by americans and destroyed atmosphere.

Now at Sky, earning very good money for my age!

Currently saving for a house deposit, reckon i need 30k before i can make a serious move, got about 65% of it so far....

Huge benefits to living at home, loads of holidays, garage for car, and the bike!

Not quite had much success in the SWMBO department, but can't have it all.

All above i put down to my final year project, it got me the job out of 15 others who applied.

Some people wrongly think a uni degree is ticket to a dream job, its not. The only thing it does is get you through a paper sift!
Well said young un, I learned to play the organ at a very early age, and I mean very early, and I played in a few churches and I have played in big places and the most satisfying for me believe it or not was Glyntaff Crematorium.
I have played at the Tower ballroom in Blackpool when I was 13 years old with the late great Reg Dixon.
Now, sadly, after a family bereavment about 12 years ago and a massive verbal fight with my siblings I vowed never to play the organ again, and I only played this year for the 1st time and I got scolded for that by my family and I will never play again, and I have been offered good money for it.
Regarding SWMBO do you wanna me to come there and cwtch you in my boosomms, awwwww.

You could offer me £1000 an hour now and I would not play.
When I was unemployed I was offered three days in the Crem, DONE ONE DAY and my siblings went MENTAL and called me all sorts. Swore then that I would never sit in front of a keyboard again. I was getting £60 a funeral for it as well, and doing 8 a day. You do the sums.

Need to make sure they don't find out, or don't bother you over it.

OK, don't play, just teach me too!!

play guitar, clarinet, piccolo, flute, and a bit of synth, but need a bit more skill.
Play in pubs and clubs very often, can sing well, but would LOVE to be able to play the keyboard better.

Would love to play piano based songs.........

IMHO it has NOTHING to do with them what you CHOOSE to do. If they tried to tell me what to do mine would get VERY short shift.

If you want to play the organ .. damn well play it .. no siblings rule your life.

Just my strongly held views .. nowt else ... you may have your own reasons for disagreeing... and 'tis your life not mine ...  :y :y
