Where cameras are used to generate funds for central/local government/partnerships, I certainly understand how many would consider this to be welcome news.

If, however, cameras are removed from points where they're genuinely placed for reasons of a safety initiative, and to identify drivers who blatantly ignore the posted speed limit subsequently putting that initiative in peril, then it's a bad thing.

In either case, it's ultimately a bad thing if other measures are not put into place to help control the tendency for people to drive at inappropriate speeds at various points on the road network.

quite agree with you Z! Wouldnt be so bad if you saw tangible evidence of any of the revenue raised by speed ccamers funding more police cars on the road in order to better monitor/control "bad" driving
