Congratulations are in order.  My son is trying for CID eventually, but he's had a look at the detective exams and decided to put it off until next year.  He's going to have a go at the sergeants exams first, 'cos they look a bit easier.  :-/

I'm made up, it doesn't seem like 5 minutes since my daughter joined Cheshire Police and she's just phoned to say she's made CID. Well done Charlie xx
She really is a copper :o - I thought every time she visited me, she was a kiss-o-gram ;D

Joking aside, I remember your posts about her joining, so she has done very well :y
I must admit I was surprised when she said she wanted to be a copper. She's tall girl but skinny and her arms muscles are like knots in cotton and she hates the sight of blood so not a good recipe for dealing with the average drunken lout on a Saturday night but she really loves the job and I think she has common sense so hopefully she'll go far :y

Thanks everyone for the kind words, I am really made up for her, who knows I might even take her out for a meal on Saturday night when I see her  ::)
The imbalance can be slightly redressed with a tazer :o Pete. Seriously though I'm made up for you both :) as Jamie said it doesn't seem five minutes since she joined the force
