Real home cooking.
« on: 30 December 2010, 22:39:13 »

Made a beef stew lastnight, fed myself & lodger Steve to bursting. Enough left for two tonight but one of his squeezes bought him round a Maccies then cooked him a dinner, so i pigged the stew! Boiled a bacon joint & added carrot, onion, celery, peppercorns & leftover chicken drumstick bones from todays lunch. The resulting stock tastes better than any you could buy & will be used to cook potato & leek soup tomorrow to serve with the bacon joint & crusty dipping bread.

Ah, if only I could be bothered to cook .. or afford a personal chef.

Folks have been gone two days and already I'm back to ordering Dominos!
