against:

you have to get up earlier 1 to don the gimp suit and helmet.

you rely and pray for dry weather.

if you're overweight you look ridiculous on a bike (i know you think you don't, but you do)

bikes are quicker but are still subject to the same speed restrictions as the rest of us ( i know you're going through the village at 30mph.........but what was the 4 rapid down shifts everyone heard coming up to the "30" sign  )

helmet hair - if you have any.

most car drivers dont think about bikes, if a car hits you 2 - you're dead, the driver pulling out on his mobile is merely wondering what the noise was.

err....you can leapfrog queues

oh....and you're bravely volunteering to donate organs for the rest of us - top work

just to add another option  quad bike now they are becoming more popular and more road legal ones available
