After a long winded 'repair' to my daughter's lap top, the battery doesn't hold a charge any more, no more than a few minutes use when off 240V
It's a M911G, anone any suggestions as to where or not buy one? Or just pick a middle of the road price off eBay  :-/

If your getting them of the evil bay then don't get them from Hong Kong, they take ages to arrive (if at all) and then they don't perform as expected.
Now waiting for one from Amazon from a UK supplier.

I was going to avoid Hong Kong suppliers.

I had this exact same experience and would now only buy a genuine battery.

It will cost more - but will do what it should do.

my advent only ran for 20mins on the battery and that was from new. my x's dell lasts about an hr and a half

This Dell used to be at least an hour & a half, but it's either A N Other that the 'repairer' substituted or lying doing nothing for nearly a year has killed it. My daughter's new HP laptop easily lasts a couple of hours on its battery.

I think I'll pass though on a genuine Dell replacement at over £100

Her experon(?) battery went years ago. New prices and the fact some are prone to catch fire meant we just use the mains.

I bought a battery for my HP on ebay recently from wedo-bestdeal

Its not branded but works fine, it lasts a couple of hours and cost £21.95
