Yup, likewise.   

Sadly a family emergency involving a hospitalised mother in law prevents me from indulging in a lads type weekend at the other end of the country.

I know most would be clicking their heels at these circumstances but, to be honest, she is a good old bat.....

I'm sorry everyone but I won't be there either, I'd booked the time off work but then had to change it because my daughter was due to have an op. I was really looking forward to my first meet, but it'll have to wait now

I never go to these gatherings - in the first place, the management would let me and in the second place, I'm an unsociable b****r anyway.

I never knew where Newent was until last weekend when we had to come off the M50 to look for "services" (which we didn't find, incidentally).

Just out of interest, why Newent?  Doesn't appear to be exactly a prime location.

Anyway, I hope all who attend have a thoroughly splendid time.
