MV6 value
« on: 16 June 2007, 16:16:07 »

Wonder if anyone can please help me, I have a 2001 Y reg 2.6 MV6 saloon approaching 96,000 miles. Manual, cloth interior, 4 disc cd changer, all the standard fittings. Tow bar (single electrics)  dark blue, reasonable condition, new tyres rear Jan front March, new exhaust two weeks ago.
Where ever I look and who ever I speak to the value ranges vastly from as little as £1000 to similar age/milage elites and CDX's advertised at £4500.

Has anyone sold or bought similar recently so that I can compare?

As with everything, it's worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. However, you could have a look here http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/vx/finance/valueyourcar.do which will give you a Glasses guide valuation. You could also do a search on the Autotrader web site to see what others are looking for. I looked yesterday and there are dozens of Omegas for sale up and down the country.

Hope this is of use. :y

"Reasonable condition" is the key here.

Without seeing it, I would say 2-2.5k based on what you say.

History, MOT, cambelt change?

Oh and anyone selling a CDX for £4,495 is having a laugh!  ::)

I would say good condition, has very minor marks and stone chips general interior wear from 96000 miles so not excellent, however did look to trade in a year ago for a similar MV6 but estate, had to insist that part of the deal was the alloys were swopped because mine still have vertually no nicks on them. Dealer not interested so still have mine.

i was offered 2.5K on my 99' Elite back at easter time, at the time she had 119,000 on the clock, lots of history, in pretty good nick and a recent cambelt change as well as 12 months ticket on her.......

I decided against it in the end, not becaause i thought it wasn't enough but because i couldn't find a good enough replacement.......still can't today  >:(
