Mr Marks, Mr Matchless and Mr Laidback
« on: 01 July 2007, 22:56:47 »

Can I just say a humongous thanks to Mark, Pete and Dave for their invaluable help and indeed friendship over the last couple of years.

Dave has been at my house more often than me! He is willing to help and get dirty no matter wht the weather, job or lck of chocolat biscuits.

Marks knowledge of not only the Omega, but cars in general is quite something. But beyond that, his wife makes a cracking cuppa and is never in a bad mood. ::) Seriously, ark has helped, advised and leant tools without wanting so much as a thanks in return.

Petes knowledge from an engineering and perfectionsist point of vie is stunning. He is a very obliging guy indeed and has again helped no end. Pete, Dave and Mark totally canabalised my MV6 last year shortly after I uttered 'shall we strip it'. Before I said no I was only joking I had a shell and lots of bits.

But I really wanted to thank them all for their outstanding friendship and kindness over the last two years. I mess about and crack jokes a lot, but these three guys know more than most that I am suffering a fair bit now with the back and more surgery is on the way next month. This time it is a bit more serious and I am having a bit of a rough time with it.

Anyway, I didn't want it to go unmentioned that I really appreciate the help from these three musketeers. However, there are many more that have helped me over these last 2 years. To mention one or two, The Boy, JamesV6 and my very good friend Dave in Scotland, who you won't know.

So, there you go. I have always believed in saying thanks. It is one little way of xpressing how grateful we are for each others help and this forum. I have been a it lax latey, but intend doing some more how to's in the near future including changing an autobox. Not as bad as you may think. Also an engine transplant. Actually very easy, but you MUST use a crane.

Waffling nnow. Back to the point of the thread. THANKS guys!

It's what friendship is all about Mr McB, now you really need to take heed of those dosage warnings on the medication!  ;)
