LPG Rear End Kit
« on: 18 March 2011, 16:52:10 »

Ok, you know me too well, I'm LPG'ing it (once I've got it running back on song).

Because I'm still fettling with a couple of engine issues, I'm keen not to introduce LPG until it's sorted.

BUT that doesn't stop me from progressing with the rear-end kit.

Where do you guys source your tanks etc?

I'm undecided on tank. If it's MUCH easier to fit, I will go for the 80l, but, the 100l would also be very nice, if it will go in OK.

Either way, I need a 4 hole tank, filler, and all associated pipework, to start with.

Aside of phoning Teilo, (I'm not even going to try again!!!) Where do you guys source your tanks and rear end stuff such as filler/pipes?

I'm expecting a little money at the end of April I didn't know I had coming - so this is when Phase 1 of my conversion will start..  :y

Also, if anyone fancies assisting with the tank mount, I'd appreciate it, it's not a job I particularly enjoy, alone...  :y

Additionally, what is a rear end kit likely to cost?

James, i am having a good s/hand tank installed into my jeep(getting it back tomorrow) by Arun Autogas, If you google them and give them a ring they might be able to do you a deal on a tank. If it,s a bit scruffy you've only got to rub it down and give it a spray with plack paint.
Worth a call :y

If they can help you and you need it collected let me know as i go down to that area fairly often to my dads place.
We can then work out how to get it to you after that. :y

What's happening with your old tank - how old is it, is it 4 hole? If it's for sale, and fits the bill, let me know  :y

100L tanks are more expensive than 80L ones.... FES are fairly near you, they may be able to help. Tinley Tech are another option but, although he can be a PITA to get hold of, Teilo seems to be about the best.

Also, the 80L tank frame lines up nicely with the chassis rails, 100L will need lots of measuring and re-measuring ;)

Personally, I'd always got with the easier 80L tank...

The old one was only 55ltrs James, and a single hole tank. Not sure what is happening to the old tank as it did not get discussed at the time, but will find out if ness.
