Don't you believe it, a friend has a laser "torch" that he bought from ebay, and you can feel the heat on your skin from 12" away within seconds of the laser being energised.
The heat level builds so quickly that you WILL move your hand within 10 to 15 seconds.

Spark plug manufacturers won't be too pleased... bet they're already looking into building their won lasers now!!   ;D ;D
