exhaust mid section
« on: 18 October 2006, 19:44:34 »

Hi everyone.

Heard a funny clunking noise on my meega today - even had to turn off the stereo for a better idea of where it was coming from!  :(

Had a look underneath and the back box is merrily swinging left to right, having completely come away from the mid-section. There are several holes in the mid-section and it looks like the flange where the mid meets the back box has just corroded away from the mid, so the back box looks intact and OK.

It is for a 2.5td facelift, Vreg year 2000 saloon.

I guess it will be down to ATS or Kwik-Fit in the morning, or do any of you experts know of any stunning deals that can be found, bearing in mind that I am in Gloucester.

Any idea what I might be expected to pay for this so I can steel myself for the bill !!  :'(

Thanks a lot guys.

Dave.
