Climate Button
« on: 12 March 2007, 14:09:50 »

ECO button covering came off and the button was completely white, found my interior repair kit I bought from Halfords, which came with Black & White paint, mixed them up and painted the button followed by a letter 'E' using some Letraset. question is do you reckon it looks ok or just crap! ;D
Cheers Pete.

Good effort... but does stand out a bit!

Got me worried about mine now, its started to peel a bit. But I hardly ever press the Eco button, think i pressed it twice since i bought the car over a year ago  ;D

Not looked into it, but would a replacement button be in order? if you take that section to bits?

Better still maybe replace the whole row since they will all start to peel.

Hi mate, already looked into this and you cannot buy the buttons seperately and new replacement panel is £500+ from VX would you believe, contacted Vx head office to tell them what a disgrace this is and very poor design and also any assistance in rectifying the problem; as per usual no help what so ever, other than that they would pass info' on to their designers for the future reference of newer cars!! thought about one from scrappy but chances are they maybe ready to peel also, possible money down the drain.
Cheers Pete
